Eco-Series wooden furniture is crafted out of reclaimed Elm wood, each piece is hand crafted in our own workshop. We recycle many old doors and beams of traditional Chinese Village houses. The reclaimed wood is cleaned and treated before it is crafted into beautiful furniture. Since we operate our own workshop, we are flexible on dimensions and new designs, please contact our Customer Service for more details. The Eco-Series is the right alternative to other hardwood furniture, we help saving the rainforest, by recycling age old wood. For those customers who can not make it to our showroom, we made a selection of wood colours above. Please do note, the colours displayed on your screen, may deviate from the actual colours. Small dents, holes, cracks etc. are part of the nature of reclaimed wood and, upon professional judgment by our craftsman, fitting well with the Eco-Series Style and design. Variations in wood grain, crack, texture and color, and other natural characteristics are inherent to reclaimed solid wood. Due to indoor climate changes and the fluctuations in humidity, the wood may shrink/expand during the lifetime of the product. The use of reclaimed wood combined with proper wax, oil or paint maintenance will limit the risk of cracks and splits, but there is no absolute guarantee. Elm Wood A beautiful warm brown coloured wood, highly gained and with a distinctive "partridge-breast" figure. Today it is most frequently used for furniture and is especially popular for its attractive and pleasing natural or waney edge. Elm also has some unique qualities that make it ideally suited for use in a variety of specialist circumstances.
Durable under water - Elm will last almost indefinitely when placed in water or below ground level (although it is not durable at ground level). This makes it ideal for the construction of fish ladders and sluice gates and other submerged structures. Traditionally this led to elm being used for coffins. Underground pipes were also constructed beneath large cities by hollowing out large elm trunks and driving them together. Some of these are still dug up today after 250 years below ground.
Unsplitable - Another unusual quality of elm is its "unsplittability" caused by a stepped pattern of its wood fibres. This makes it ideal for chair seats (when the legs are driven in most other woods would split) and projects that require end-grain nail holding capacity such as the transoms for clinker-built boats. This useful property led to the traditional use of elm in wheel hubs and sledgehammers. What is the White Glove Installation Service? This team will unpack, install and place your furniture pieces into position. Without this service, your order will be delivered packed to the entrance of your home by our delivery team. Please note this installation service is only valid if your furniture can be freely moved into your room on our transportation trolley carts by lift or ground floor. The service does not include any walk up or walk down to different floor levels. This service can be purchased separately under the walk up service fee. Please note that the installation of all our mounted lamps should be performed by a certified electrician and not by our team, we are happy to refer you. |

This team will unpack, install and place your furniture into position. Without this service, your order will be delivered, in the original packaging, to the entrance of your home by our delivery team.
Please note this installation service is only valid if your furniture can be freely moved into your room on our transportation trolley carts by lift or ground floor. The service does not include any walk up or walk down to different floor levels. This service can be purchased separately under the walk up service fee. This service does not include the fixing / mounting to concrete walls.
Please note that the installation of all our mounted lamps should be performed by a certified electrician and not by our team, we are happy to refer you.
