Red Wine Stain:
Begin immediately by soaking up the liquid with a paper towel.
Saturate the stain with soda water.
Dab up the liquid with a paper towel.
For heavy stains, scrub the sofa with baking soda.
Use a toothbrush to loosen the last of the stain.
Finally, vacuum the sofa fabric clean.
Pet hair:
Prevention is better than a cure, don't let your pet on your sofa, of cover up the sofa.
But if it's too late, use a rubber glove. Make sure the gloves are textured.

For deep stains mix equal parts of water and ammonia.

Put ice in a plastic bag and apply to the gum until it hardens.
